dc.description.abstract This policy brief aims to provide a descriptive picture of the condition of domestic workers in the city of Patna in Bihar state. The study is based on interviews with domestic workers and their organizations, as well as a survey of 70 domestic workers. Though the research was carried out prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the findings remain relevant to understand the challenges faced by domestic workers in accessing social protection today. The brief has been updated to reflect emerging policy recommendations for the Bihar state in a pandemic context. en_US
